About Sinfonia

Evangel's Sinfonia is a campus ensemble under the direction of Dr. Larry Dissmore, director of Orchestral Activities at Evangel University. The Sinfonia's primary purpose is to serve as a touring ensemble, traveling all over the United States and around the world as a testament to the University's commitment to equipping students to use their God-given talents to impact the church and society globally. This year, the Sinfonia will embark on its sixth European tour, its last of which happened in 2016 where it performed 15 concerts in Italy, Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.

The group has recorded 12 CDs, the latest of which is currently in production for release. The Sinfonia performs classical, sacred and contemporary Christian repertoire as well as various arrangements for voices with orchestra accompaniment. The members of the group are selected by audition and all members play with another major ensemble on campus.

In the summer of 2020, Sinfonia will be partnering with American missionaries, as well as European pastors, to arrange its concerts and services for a European tour in May. The tour is 21 days—May 2-22, 2020.  During the tour, the Sinfonia will be appearing in churches and public concert halls in:  BELGIUM, FRANCE, SWITZERLAND, AUSTRIA, GERMANY, POLAND, and HUNGARY. This will be the Sinfonia’s sixth ministry tour to Europe.

Concert ministry in Europe will consist of Orchestral music being presented from our latest Concert CD release "Awesome God". The Orchestra will visit seven different countries and present multiple concerts in each country.

How You Can Help

The budget and travel expenses for this trip will be about $3,500 per student. These funds must be raised by March 1, 2020.  I would greatly appreciate your support as I pursue this opportunity to travel the continent of Europe to spread the love of Christ.

If you would like to assist financially toward my trip, any amount would be appreciated. Please fill out the form below and I will send you a formal letter with all the information regarding the trip and a form you can fill out to support me on my trip to Europe.

I will not be receiving academic credit for this trip, so your gift to the university is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

I value your prayers and support! Thank you for considering supporting me in whatever way you feel called to do so!
